We must be totally and utterly honest within ourselves.

There is nobody there. Nobody is awakening. If someone is, then that someone is really fortifying his castle of sleep. Awakening is freedom, it is freedom from concepts, from associations, from mental images. Awakening is a deepening of the reality behind the mind. It is the uncatchable flow of life, different from one moment to the next. To grasp it is like trying to bite water. Or catch air. Let it go. There’s nobody there. No-one except The One – the spirit of life itself, flowing, moving through infinite points of manifestation. “We” are just a point at which the flow manifests. If we are able to let go of everything that we know, all that we think is true, is real, we finally feel this infinitely liberating and nourishing energy of life itself.

The mind holds onto memory like a hoarder. It gathers, collects, to fill an emptiness. The emptiness is the void and the void is the fullest place there is. The lack is the presence of life. But we have to face it. We must be courageous to see. To see the falseness of what we have accumulated, the falseness of the image and person we have meticulously created to avoid the uncertainty of infinity. Valves to life which have been systematically shut down with every contracting experience of our so called life.

The sense of self can be dropped in an instant. Relax (relaxare, meaning to loosen, stretch out, or widen again). Widen beyond what you think are the limits of your structure. Feel the body moving, the air around it, dial into the now until you hit infinity. Do not expect the next moment, let go of anticipation, let go of control. Just see. See the structure you have created for what it is. Empty the mind, exhale and live from point zero. Do not be afraid, only “me” can get upset, but you’re not that and never were.

We’re re-learning to become vessels of life. After decades of rigidifying ourselves and identifying ourselves with the matter that makes us up, we can let that go and the life can finally flow. We were never matter. Matter is the vessel. We are the life. The life that flows eternally, that springs, that shines, that pulsates, that expands constantly. If you were a stream, would you ever stop streaming?

What are we afraid to see when we let it all go? That we were wrong? That we did bad? That we failed? All that belongs to the duality of the reality we ourselves create. What if all the wrong we did is because we did not forgive ourselves for the original sin? And it trails on and on, building up like a drip sandcastle? Let the water wash it away. Begin here. With this word. With this space between the letters. Let the spirit flow. No past. No future. No historian to chronicle the illusory details of an illusory life.

Open yourself to a new dimension – a cascade of light just waiting to flow through you. Observe all keenly, and know even that is not you. Take this responsibility in life: let that which has to flow, to flow. Sing, dance, lay in silence, run, breathe, learn, help, teach, care, heal, feel, make, bring. Take full responsibility for what you do, and act in accordance with the depth of your heart. Once you do something, cherish it, and the let it go – new emerges. Life never lives the same iteration twice.

Let go, let go, let go.

Be.
