Do you realize that you exist? Do you ever stop and think that it is truly marvellous and a complete miracle that you are? There’s so many dead and inanimate matter around you and yet all this existence is within you from moment to moment, always present.
We have to start asking ourselves. Why? How is it? How does it happen? Who am I? Who am I really? Without answering with words, with concepts, but with experience. With the experience of the here and the now, with the experience of the physical body, the experience of the emotions, the experience of the thoughts, the experience of the experience.
It is something that we lost. The baby when it first sees itself in the mirror is in awe, is absolutely shocked. The consciousness is shocked.
But then we just somehow get used to the fact that we are being, even though it is the biggest miracle of all. It simply becomes something that we accept as normal. The human can get used to anything. It can get used to the most beautiful view, the most incredible music, the most brilliant experience. The human can get used to everything. It can normalize everything. It creates a memory and from that memory it somehow extracts the fact that it is normal.
But what if you were existing for the very first time in this very moment: looking, breathing, the heart beating, the skin sensing, all of it at once for the very first time. How would that be for you to experience it right now in this moment?
It is as if you were God and this God was just born and just now realize that it is. It is not something that you have to be a philosopher to feel. Everything that is within you already knows this marvelous truth. It’s just that we have to awaken to it.
We have to be with it. We have to come back to it all the time, to denormalize the human existence, to denormalize everything that we treat as normal.
As a baby, we once started to had to learn how to walk. We had to learn how to even breathe. We had to learn how to grasp objects. This is because we are not this whole structure that knows how to do all this. We had to learn it as essences, as life. We had to learn it but we don’t remember learning it. We can sometimes observe it, an external baby, but we don’t know that we had to go through this very process.
And this remembering who we truly are brings us back and back and back, not in time, not in space, but back into the core of our existence, back into the present moment, back into existence itself.
So I invite you, I truly invite you, as a soul speaking to another soul, to ask yourself with experience, answering with experience, what am I? Who am I? How is it that I am alive?
